About the Kelowna Community Concert Association (KCCA)

The KCCA is a registered non-profit society that presents for members (subscribers) an annual five-concert season featuring performers of national and international renown. The organization is run entirely by volunteers.

How do I become a member?

Purchasing a one-year subscription entitles you to five concerts, along with membership in the KCCA until the end of the fiscal year.

Members may serve as volunteers in the KCCA and attend our Annual General Meetings.

How do I subscribe?

Our subscriptions this year are being handled by The Box Office, which was set up by the City of Kelowna to deliver a professional service to local performing arts organizations such as the KCCA.

To purchase one or more subscriptions you have several options:

1. Online through The Box Office.

2. By phone:  Call (250) 469-8940

3.  In person: Visit one of two locations

  • Kelowna Community Theatre Box Office (Regular Hours: Monday to Friday | 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

  • Rotary Centre for the Arts Box Office (Regular Hours: Monday to Friday | 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.)

If you need help, you can phone during regular office hours, or email them at boxoffice@kelowna.ca

How much does a subscription cost?

The cost for the five concerts of the 2026-2027 season, which runs from September 12, 2026 to April 10, 2027, is just $120 per person, plus The Box Office's service fee of $9.20 (which includes tax).

If you purchase your subscription before April 30, 2026, you receive a $10 early-bird discount.

Subscriptions for children under age 19 cost only $60 plus a $6 service fee charged by The Box Office.

Which payment methods are accepted?

You may pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express).

If you purchase your subscription in person, you may also pay by debit card, cash or cheque.

How have your subscription prices changed over the years?

Longtime members will appreciate how little our prices have risen, even over many years when the cost of everything else seems to have soared.

Indeed, this is the fourth consecutive year we have been able to offer our exceptional concert series for the exact same nominal price of $120, with a further $10-discount for early-bird purchases and a half-price rate for children and youth.

This is a tribute to the enormous effort invested by our all-volunteer management team. Unlike other concert presenters, we receive no outside funding, either private or public; we operate exclusively through our membership/subscription revenues.

Why are you now charging a service fee?

If you renew your membership/subscription before April 30 this year, you will be paying $110, plus a $9.20 fee to The Box Office, for a total of $119.20. On May 1, the price goes up to $120, plus a $9.20 fee, for a total of $129.20 for the entire five-concert season.

Our Board of Directors chose to go this route for several reasons:

1. We believe you will receive excellent service for this charge because...

a) The online platform is clean and intuitive, and many of our patrons appreciate the convenience of mobile tickets that they can print at home, or simply stash away in electronic form in their Apple or Google Wallets, or elsewhere on their mobile phones.

b) If you prefer to obtain old-fashioned paper tickets, and to deal with actual people, The Box Office has you covered! Only they are able to provide in-person service to our local residents, whether over the phone or at a physical box office location.

c) The service charge you pay to The Box Office remains in our community.

2. With an average audience now exceeding 1,000 per year, we no longer have the volunteer strength to handle so many sales, along with the usual flurry of follow-up questions relating to lost tickets and so on.

3. As cybercrime becomes a growing concern around the world, we -- as volunteers working out of our homes -- did not want to bear the responsibility of keeping your personal and financial information safe. We are shifting the burden to a professional platform that is equipped with the safeguards necessary for so important a responsibility.  â€‹â€‹

How do I receive the concert tickets I bought online?

When you purchase your subscription online, you will receive an emailed confirmation of your order, followed by a second email with the subject line, "Your E-tickets are Ready". It will carry an attachment, where you will find five separate concert tickets per subscription.

Each ticket will have on it the name, date and time of the concert, and will include a unique QR code that we will scan when you arrive at the concert.

Once you receive the email with the tickets, you can:

  • download them to your phone. Simply save the attachment, and then decide whether to keep the tickets among your downloads, documents or photos ... or

  • print them off at home.

Or.....

Can I save them to my digital wallet?

Indeed you can!! In the email, you will also have the option of downloading the tickets to your Apple or Google digital wallet. Just click on the appropriate links and then click "Add to Wallet" for each concert.

What if I didn't buy my subscription online?

If you buy your season pass (subscription) over the phone or in person, you will receive standard paper tickets for each concert. Like the electronic versions, each will be printed with the concert information, as well as a unique QR code that will be scanned for admission.

If you buy your pass by phone, you can either pick up your tickets at the box office locations listed above, or have them mailed to you for an additional $4.

Can I buy a ticket to a single concert?

The KCCA has flourished for more than 70 years because of our unique membership-based model, where people like you buy a uniquely affordable pass to an entire five-concert season. This gives us the stable revenues we need to operate, especially when members buy their subscriptions early.

However, in order to attract new members who want to take a peek at what we offer, we do intend to sell a limited number of single-event passes in the days before each concert. The price of these tickets has not yet been determined, but a subscription will always be a significantly better deal!

What if I lose my ticket(s)?

You can call The Box Office at (250) 469-8940, or email them at boxoffice@kelowna.ca, and they will help you out.

Can I give my ticket to a friend if I can't attend a concert?

Yes, absolutely. You can give your friend your physical ticket if you have one, or a printout of an e-ticket. If you have the electronic version, you can simply forward the original email to your friend, or use the "share" option on your phone or computer.

Remember, each ticket has a unique QR code, which can only be scanned once.

I just moved here and the concert season is already underway.  What should I do?

If you are joining us after the start of the season, then welcome! If we still have space, we may be able to offer you a prorated price for the remaining concerts of the season. One big advantage of obtaining at least a partial-season pass is that it puts you in line to receive our spring information about the next season, so you won't miss our early-bird pricing offer!

About KCCA Concerts

How do you select your performers?

Our Programming Committee, comprising volunteers who are also KCCA members, selects only performers of national and international stature for our concerts. We work hard to present an annual lineup of music, dance and other performances that are varied in scope but consistent in excellence.

When are the concerts presented?

A concert season typically runs from fall (September or October) to spring (April or May).

Where are the concerts held?

Our concerts are held in the Evangel Church Auditorium at 3261 Gordon Drive, just south of KLO Road. Free parking is available for all KCCA concerts.

What time do the concerts start?

Concerts are held on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. or Saturdays at 2:00 p.m.

Do you have reserved seating?

No, you may sit wherever you like, with family and friends. We do, however, have special seating to accommodate people with mobility needs; please contact us in advance at info@kelownacommunityconcerts.org, so that we can make the appropriate arrangements.

Can I purchase drinks before or during a performance?

For environmental reasons, and because we do not want to have sticky spills or leave litter at the venue, we encourage you to bring water in your own reusable container. If you forget, you may purchase a bottle of water in the lobby before the performance or during intermissions. Alcohol and soft drinks are not available.

Donations and Volunteering

Do you accept donations to the KCCA?

Yes, and thank you for supporting the arts in Kelowna.

Every year, the KCCA in turn donates support for local music students, while also giving them an extraordinary opportunity to perform for our membership ahead of concerts. For further information, please contact us.

Can I volunteer for the KCCA?

Members of KCCA may, indeed, volunteer to work in the organization, and there are numerous interesting positions to fill. Since the KCCA has no paid staff, our talented volunteers are the reason for our success.

Volunteers, who must be members of the KCCA, do everything from planning and promoting each concert season to welcoming members at the door.

Each volunteer knows that, because we have no staffing or office overhead, their efforts are contributing to a high standard of concert experience at a uniquely affordable price.

We get no outside funding from anyone — government or private-sector sponsors. In other words, we always need fresh and energetic volunteers to keep our 70+-year-old KCCA running for the next seven decades!

If you are considering joining us, please visit our Volunteers page to learn more. Or send us an email to tell us what interests you have, and skills you could share.
