I Musici de Montreal performs under the dynamic and visionary direction of Maestro Yuli Turovsky who is also cello soloist with the orchestra. I Musici has performed in some of the greatest halls in the world including New York’s Lincoln Center, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Kioi Hall in Tokyo, and the Conservatoire de Musique in Luxemburg. The orchestra’s enthusiasm, precision, cohesion and virtuosity of performance confirm its importance on the world’s musical stage.

The concert in Kelowna will feature Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition with choreographed paintings.

Wild Rose Jazz has been performing and promoting jazz in a variety of styles, both in jazz clubs and festivals on both sides of the border since their inception in 1984. The members of the group all share a common element: “energy and fun”. Wherever they perform, their enthusiasm never fails to engage the audience with the joy of music. It would be impossible to think of the Calgary jazz scene without their vocalist Hazel Proctor; a soulful, emotional performer who adds a wonderful flair to the Wild Rose front line.

Nathaniel Dett Chorale is Canada’s first professional choral group dedicated to Afrocentric music of all styles including classical, spiritual, gospel, jazz, folk and blues.

The Chorale is comprised of 21 classically trained musicians who provide a forum for promoting public awareness of, and interest in, original works of Afrocentric composers, past present and future. They have performed all over the world promoting their vision of building bridges of understanding, appreciation, and acceptance between communities of people through the medium of music.

Pascal Rogé exemplifies the finest in French virtuosity on the piano. His playing of Poulenc, Satie, Fauré, Saint-Saëns and especially Ravel, is characterized by its elegance, beauty and stylistically perfect phrasing.

A native of Paris, Mr. Rogé’ has performed all over North America; his engagements abroad include major orchestras in Great Britain, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Netherlands Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Oslo Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Vienna Symphony, and the Zurich Tonhalle.
